I received a sextortion email demanding a $700 Bitcoin payment within 72 hours, which (of course) I have NOT & will NOT pay. The email in question claimed to have hacked my router and all of the devices in my house (with an emphasis on controlling cameras remotely), thus stealing all of my phone, social media and email contacts. The email didnt contain any personal information or stolen passwords, nor did the sender provide proof of possessing any videos or search history that they claimed to have. If the ransom isnt paid, they threatened to send the compromising videos and search history to all of my contacts.
